As first reported on www.tuxedogov.org, the Tuxedo Union Free School District is in the process of evaluating several options for the future of George F. Baker High School. As part of the process, Superintendent Carol Lomascolo has invited the Chamber of Commerce and its members to participate in a survey to have your voice heard - the Tuxedo community - on what you are looking for from the high school. Shaping the Future of Our High School: Over the next few months, the Tuxedo Union Free School District will be working closely with the community to determine the future of our George F. Baker High School. We have engaged Public Consulting Group (PCG) to provide support, educational expertise, and guidance through a process that will yield recommendations for the community’s consideration. PCG consultants will begin this process by gathering input and feedback from the community. Anonymous surveys, focus groups, and interviews will be conducted to gain insight into what is important to members of our Tuxedo community regarding the future of our schools. This insight will help to identify the most viable options for our high school’s future. This process will evolve over the next few months and will conclude in January with options that have been shaped by the input of our community as a whole.
